High Point World Resort - Kissimmee, Florida

As a frequent last minute timeshare traveler, I have sampled nearly all the Orlando area has to offer that show 3 stars or better on common review platforms. Booked this place through RCI, which warns to call if you are going to be checking in late. I called four times, no answer, left a message no call back. Arrived a day after check in and spent the next 30 minutes proving I booked a two bedroom. ||The Pro's: It has a hot tub and the pool, it's quiet and the pool is open late. Very close to Animal Kingdom's gate. The WiFi is decent enough to use for access. Everything in the unit worked.||The Con's; I left Vacation Villages because the bed was terrible. I've moved to worse, plastic wrap around the mattress is really what I want to be hearing any time I move. Small sugar ants are all over the kitchen counter on check in, under the chopping block, coffee maker, etc. The pictures of the place are all from the lobby, the couch, the TV, the bar setup, etc. The entire unit is straight out of 1980, appliances and all. No washier and dryer in unit, no oversize tub. It feels like at any moment in time someone is gonna come busting in asking where the drugs or money is. That isn't because I took some or have any either. ||The staff were nice and all but this is basically like the motel 6 version of timeshares to stay in.

Pro's: best bang for your buck. Spacious townhouse-style with a full bathroom in both bedrooms. Close to attractions. Quiet and relatively secure being it's off the beaten path. If you're looking for a quiet place without all the glitz and glamour this is it

Con's: it isn't obvious when you look on Google maps but this place is located in a VERY BUSY section and you constantly have to make a U-turn to get to and from the unit. The units are outdated but that's to be expected given the low amount they charge. The units have ants in them which is also typical of the environment of FL. The front desk administrator had a horrible attitude and poor customer service. She made you feel like you were inconveniencing her by asking simple questions. Fortunately, you only have to deal with her during the day when you have a question or while checking out.

Been coming for years and it's getting a little worn down. The hot tub needs repairs and the decor is dated. However, it's exactly as I remembered and I was allowed to check in overnight to suit my travel plans. Overall still a great place to stay, right next to Disney.

This is my honest opinion on High Point World Resort it’s good on the pocket. it’s centrally located and it’s nice and quiet.

You don’t have all the fancy stuff you get at the big resorts. But you have peace of mind a nice kitchen, a nice place to prepare dinner for your family as well as breakfast.

$400 for seven days you can’t beat it.

No need to add anymore pictures because they are all the same.

We had a great stay at the High Point World Resort. The previous reviews regarding how outdated things are are accurate but for us, while we are on vacation, we just wanted a clean place to take showers and sleep. We don't spend a lot of time in our room and the color of the carpet isn't a consideration. We felt like the rooms were clean and everything was fully stocked. Air conditioner worked great and we had no issues with the facility. The one thing to consider is that it is absolute murder trying to get out on 192 during certain parts of the day and you can only turn right. The traffic in that area is crazy but that is no fault of the the resort at all. We would stay here again for sure.

To call this a three star resort is misleading. The truth is that some government employees can stay here for around $400 / wk as a perk, and many of the reviews will be written by people who paid that much and knew what they were signing up for. I’m writing as someone who paid ~$1000.

First unit the A/C didn’t work at all, so we moved to a second. We checked it out, but imagine bad dorm room furniture and that’s the vibe. Think vinyl sofas rather than fabric. Lowest A/C would go is 71 — we didn’t stick around to see if the second unit worked. Grass is not mown, outside is dirty, we saw one staff member the whole time. When we went back to move the first time, he was nice but embarrassed. He apologized for the condition the place was in — he knew how bad it was but was powerless to do anything about it.

We were traveling as a group and had a bunch of rooms — I immediately canceled the whole thing and got an 7 BR Airbnb villa for less than the price of 3 of these condos. An elderly person who is sick was traveling with us and she would have been miserable.

I knew right away that it would be better to have a good vacation than struggle through this place. I’m glad we left — avoid if possible.

My husband and I stayed for a week. During that week we had to change rooms three times. 1st room toilet was broken and dirty, 2nd room the air conditioner was broke. Note both was the 1 bdrm. I guess the 3rd time was charm the 2 bdrm was perfect

Aires acondicionados luego de 1 dia dejan de enfriar unit 205 y la 206 , fonde nos cambiaron. No hay ollas para cocinar, duchas no baja bien el agua. Area de piscina debe tener mejor recojido y limpieza de lo que recojen que caen en el agua hojas etc. Las areas de BBQ poco asiadas y zafacones muymuyyy mal olientes. Te dan un papel para que verifiques todo lo que hay osea inventario que en ninguna de las dos toonhouse esta completa... no me da la pagina para seguir escribiendo
