I have been going there since I started going to Honeymoon State Park. I love outdoor dining. Just beware of the bird. They will steal your food. The food is modest and good, and the drink is fresh soda. The parking is decent but you have to keep in mind at this place, the parking is for beaches and restaurants. So, it is limited.

No Tolerance for Outside Diet-Friendy Food

Been coming here for 6+ years and always enjoyed the food, drink, and atmosphere. Today, having brought my family with dietary restrictions we purchased drinks and a sandwich for myself. Sadly, both my wife and 74 year old mother were reminded that "this was not a picnic pavilion" and they could not eat thier gluten free / dairy free acai bowls we had brought. Not sure who the dude was since he didn’t introduce himself. Maybe a manager, maybe the owner, don’t know he never took the professional courtesy of introducing himself. Just dark shades, early 50s, attempting to take an authoritative voice to me and my family. Where understandable this approach was very discompassionate and certainly was not framed as a let’s understand the situation together type of attitude. In this day and time you think there would be more understanding of situations where dietary restrictions are not addressed with their in-house menu. A local gem but not always understanding of their clientele.

Extremely convenient place. Good bar, food, hand-ground sausage. Service was really great and the view was spectacular. I ended up with a fiery sausage sandwich that was just dry and on the bun. The sausage was good, but it really wasn’t that hot. Pretzel bites with cheese and bacon and scallions was a good appetizer. The shaved ice is more like a snowcone, which was good, and refreshing because it was warm out. Staff were great.

What a wonderful little beach tiki bar! Nothing fancy, just reasonably priced food, cold beverage and great views! You can put your toes in the sand and enjoy the beautiful sunset. I had the chicken tacos which were very much like what you would make at home and were very reasonably priced at $8.50 (3/24). The location also rents kayaks and paddle boards by the hour, so you can paddle around and then enjoy a meal and drinks!

We had heard about the High & Dry Grill from friends and decided to stop in. We are so glad we did. This is a delightful place to spend a bit of time. Good food. Great drinks. Wonderful service. And an outstanding view of the beach and water. You could sit there all day just enjoying the view and the gentle breeze. We will most definitely be back again. This could very well become our favorite place to hang out!

Just a couple of girls having a couple of drinks watching the sunset. Great place to sit and relax, there is a view for most of the seating options. Kinda pricey for drinks and we didn't order food, so I can't give an opinion of that but definitely a cute little place to check out.

I recently visited High and Dry Grill with my boyfriend, a Navy veteran, who relies on a registered service dog for his needs. Unfortunately, we were denied service because the owner (Tina) refused to accept his service dog, despite the dog being properly registered and following all necessary protocols with ID. This experience was disappointing, especially given the lack of understanding for the rights of service members and those who depend on service animals for essential support. He has been there with his service dog prior and dealt with Glen who was very accommodating. The host was very kind and explained the rules of Service animals. As he was taking us to our table Tina stopped us dead in our tracks and started to verbally attack us. She was rude and extremely unprofessional. We decided to just leave because it wasn't worth the hassle at this point and the experience was already ruined.

Federal law under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ensures the right of individuals with service animals to access public establishments, and the refusal felt not only unfair but also discriminatory with up to $150,000 fine.

As a business that serves the public, I hope High and Dry Grill will take steps to better educate their owner and management on the rights of individuals with service animals, especially those who have served our country. This experience left us feeling unwelcome and overlooked, and we hope that no one else has to face the same situation.
