I’ve been coming here for many years! Yes this store is a lot smaller than others that’s it’s APPEAL you know where everything located. the prices are lower here than other stores. The pharmacy with Judy as the lead is AMAZING Judy does the job of 3!! If she leaves so do I , she is the BEST !!! Give that woman a huge raise . She’s the reason I come here and she treats everyone as if it’s a family member.
she goes above and beyond for all that go here, including much, not all, of her staff! Personally connecting to people makes all the difference! Thank you Judy for everything you do you are an inspiration for all!!!
Also there’s a guy in the lunch meat counter who is fantastic I don’t know his name, he’s a white man maybe in his late 40’s gray black hair smaller build he is the best guy back there if he’s there I’ll wait for him because one he listens if I say I want it thin that’s what I get. If I want my 3ponds I’d Swiss cheese separated he knows what I mean. Plus he gets it all done accurate and fast! I will. Ask your name next time I see you. Plus most of the staff I’ve had encounters with are good ! There are a few managers that think they are something special and they’re not. But there are good ones for every bad one you just have to get to know them to recognize who will help you and who’s to lazy to do anything. Of course not everything and anyone is above standards but it’s for better than bad! I love this store and will continue to support this store any way I can!

Unprofessional location, employee insinuated I’m stealing food as I paid for it already and was unprofessional in their demeanor. The manager said she’ll speak to him, but even the manager didn’t seem to be too concerned since it’s protocol. I understand protocol, however there’s no excuse for disrespect. Not a regular shopper at this ShopRite, stopped in for lunch before heading to work.

This is a ShopRite ..so one of the better price/selection chains in the state.
However, it is in an old and dated ...hard to navigate center...now empty except for it.

The promised remodel/expansion to a super has been for over a decade. It works as a grocery, but we standardly go to the others even if more distant.

i worked at this shoprite in the baking department for a little under a month. i was told the turnover of staff there was ridiculous and they couldn’t hold onto people for longer than a month and i now see why. the week i got hired pretty much everyone else left except my manager and one other girl i was working with. for the first two weeks that i was supposed to get training i was left alone several times to close the bakery because they couldn’t find anyone else to do it and my manager only wanted to work morning shift, not like she couldn’t work night shift she just didn’t feel like it, leaving me completely screwed and having to stay over my scheduled time for some days. she would not give me proper instructions, leave me by myself to deal with it and get mad/passive aggressive when i did something wrong. i told her i have adhd so sometimes it’s hard for me to remember directions and one day she literally told me “you should try to get back on your medication. if you go to the pharmacy they’ll give you something under the counter.” the schedule was always given out on the last day of the week but somehow if i wanted a day off i was supposed to put in a form for it two weeks in advance. they had me scheduled for 40 hours a week once and i was part time. my manager wanted me to work 11 DAYS IN A ROW while i was still in training. when she finally hired new people i was training one of them, while i still had an “in training” badge on. i ended up calling in sick and getting fired over the phone and was told they could not disclose why. turns out it was for something that happened on a day that i wasn’t even scheduled for and when i had my dad go talk to the manager for me (because i was sick and couldn’t go in) the store manager let my dad know he would “look into it more”. after almost a week of waiting for an explanation and not even a text or anything from the bakery manager, hr, or the store manager, i went in to pick up my last paycheck which was given to me by the hr manager that fired me who didn’t even bother to say anything about what happened. same with the manager who said he’d “look into it”, all he did was smile and wave at me like it never happened. i was using this job to save up for a car and my own apartment, but it’s not like they ever cared about my well being. this place is run like a circus. if you want to shop for groceries at a place that treats their employees like slaves, this is certainly the shoprite for you!!

ShopRite of Bordentown!

I'm sure that it operates well enough; there seemed to be plenty of staff both assisting customers as well as stocking/cleaning/organizing.

The quality of produce (green stuff) at ShopRite stores has been declining for some time. Open up some of their garlic or bring home some brussels, you'll see what I mean. I would strongly recommend *only* buying non-perishables or canned goods in terms of food. Compared to the ShopRite in Hamilton Marketplace, the To-Go or Prepared Food quality is probably about 3 notches down - borderline disgusting.

It's someplace to stop and pick up a few things, if you so needed. I really don't recommend regular shopping here. In fact it looks like whomever owns this ShopRite (corp? franchise?) is only concerned with gouging Bordentown residents - not becoming their usual grocery store

Giving 5 stars for Cesar the cashier. Their disposition, mannerism and friendly checkout service well exceeds 5 stars. Thank you for entertaining my baby while we were in line to checkout and giving us a positive shopping experience.

I have been shopping at this location for several years and have never been so disgusted at what I've witnessed in the store regarding it's treatment of employees. I had been walking around near the bakery section when I had overheard one of the workers berating and insulting one there employees who clearly had just been struggling, to the point of tears. If this is how your management are going to chose to treat there employees I will chose to take my business elsewhere.. absolutely deplorable behavior.

This Shoprite is not easily visible from the route and it's a little hidden towards the back in the shopping-stip-mall where it is located that I almost always forget it is there, however it's a really great Shoprite.

They offer senior hours, are COVID-19 conscious offering hand sanitizers and social distancing, and they are nicely stocked with a great variety.

The produce looked fresh and had a nice variety. I came early on a Friday morning at around 8am when they were restocking, the store was clean, it was not crowded and I found everything I needed.

They were also ranked best Shoprite by the Trentonian in 2020. I really had a nice experience, easy parking, friendly service, and I was in and out in about 30 minutes.
