I would highly recommend avoiding this ACME.

The food is expensive and very poorly managed. Nearly EVERY time I buy produce or other perishable items, at least one of them is expired.

They have at least 10 lanes and they are almost always closed except for the alcohol line and the self-serve lines. They don't hire enough checkout attendants.

For every thoughtful and kind employee, there are two others that are rude and dismissive.

I would recommend driving to Trader Joes. It's cheaper and their employees are clearly paid better and better trained. No, I don't work at Trader Joes 🙂

Only self serve registers open at 5 pm with almost no staff. Customers all cranky waiting in line forever for overpriced groceries. I hate that this store is so close to my house. I walked out without even buying food for dinner.

For the only real grocery store (speciality stores like Trader Joe's or Mom's Organic don't count) between Wynnewood and Radnor, you'd expect the Bryn Mawr ACME to be amazing.

Unfortunately, I've been to corner stores with wider selection than this ACME. It's likely that they are simply limited by the floor space in the store, but that's no excuse. This ACME is fine for basic grocery needs (e.g. standard produce, meat, etc.) but there is a very high chance that if you ever want a specific food item, they will not carry it.

In short, it's a fine store for a last-minute grocery run, but if you are looking to stock your pantry/fridge for the week or cook a specific meal, then you are much better off going to the Giants in Radnor or Wynnewood

I went to the Acme early this morning around 8:15 and went to the Deli I was told by a woman she would be right back, she never came back I left and went to Whole Foods where the employees are attentive and ready to work . Why can’t this Acme get people who want to work at their Deli Counter and Seafood Counter is just as bad !!!

I suggest don't ever go to this place if you want to buy just alcohol cuz you will wait a very long time because they don't enforce any limits for people bringing food into the alcohol line. I sat behind two customers with full carts of food 40 plus items or more easily and I sit there and wait for them just to buy two drinks and there were two people ahead of me full carts to something they don't enforce because they don't care about people who buy alcohol they just care about their food customers.

side note: I must be a glutton for punishment because I went back to this location and they had signs in their beer section that said two of these tallboy seltzer cans were "2 for $10". But after checking each can individually is 5.00 anyways. Do they assume people cant count? Seems like a shady marketing Ploy tactic. This is already the second strike against this location.

This ACME has two major problems: 1) Very few baskets (none the last two trips); 2) Routinely expired (or close-to-expired) products. I have to check everything I buy.

This Acme is big than some others. The isles are bigger. Staff is helpful. They don't have things that my favorite Acme has, but they do have other things.

The staff seem happy to be here.

I'm not a fan at all of the parking lot. Idk what they can do about it. I think the best thing to do is not to go after work, during rush hour. Otherwise, I'd either avoid it or park at the side lot, further from the entrance. There's more room there.
