Awesome Japanese grocery store and food court. So many different Japanese groceries and goods. Not to mention, all of the different foods and treats you can get and sit with your family and friends to enjoy. I highly recommend trying the taiyaki, it's the best! Just bring cash since they don't take card (at the taiyaki spot only specifically)

I go there at least once a month with my children. The food selection in the food court is top notch. Also the ingredients in the supermarket too with hard to find ingredients like kanpyo, and Oden.

Ton of Japanese selection.
Food court has excellent ramen and various rice balls.
Card store attached to the marketplace, along with chocolates, a coffee shop, and more!

Fun venue and gets incredibly packed.

Came here for a visit in town. The market has lots of food options in the food court. But can be limited in seating, because crowds packed the place especially on weekends. Delicious food options as well at evening time when the market itself brings down the prices for their bento boxes, sushis, nigiris, sashimis, and other boxed plate hot meals. The market is next to Daiso and other Japanese stores. Also, a nice 10-15 min leisure walk by the Hudson Harbor(I believe that’s the water/river is called) there’s also another shopping center Edgewater Common that one can burn calories eating between meals. I know for sure I partake a 6 hours dining and shopping in between meals in this two areas.

Long time visitor since opening as Yaohan.

Supermarket, expensive, but still few for quality Japanese goods. Avoid Monday as shelves empty. Too crowded weekend.

Middle market fair from regions always fun.

Mochi & member shop good.

Kinokuniya bookstore good although NYC larger. Cos play fun. Anime selection.
Adjacent shop good for kimono, cookware, and much more.

Beef udon, gyudon reliable. Mackerel, national rice good too.

Desserts good too. From crepe, noodle ice cream, oban yaki.

What I love the most about this place is the foodcourt; however, it is very crowded during weekends. The tempura rice is tasty. It has various products of Japan.

I consider myself lucky to live near this superb market. I used to cross two bridges (Throgs Neck and George Washington) to get a taste of Japan when I used to live on Long Island. Basically whatever Japanese you know or have experienced, you will find them here.

The biggest draw is the food court and it still is. All individual eateries at the food court are capable of standing on their own. To be honest, not everyone will be pleased by the quality of food here as more and more people are used to the finest quality of omakase sushi and artisanal ramen. But to be honest, they will give you the best Japanese food for the each buck you spend. The food court will probably satisfy 80% of non-Japanese.

Now the actual products sold at the market. You will find $15 ‘omakase’ strawberries and $150 gold melon imported from Japan. And you will also find $1.29 natto directly imported from Japan. Some are overpriced and some are awesome deals. Popups and promotions usually offer some incredible products at very approachable price. I usually use promotions to stock up my pantry.

Last but not least, there are so many things to do outside of the market. There are Japanese bookstore, Daiso, Japanese anime shop, cosmetic shop and more. But my favorite thing to do here is walk along the Hudson walkway which will, after 10 minutes southbound, lead you to a breathtaking view of NYC.
