Very bad experience! You are not allowed to choose your own cut! Why because they want to sale their old meat that’s about to expire! Do not go in there! If I’m paying I choose, you don’t tell me what I can buy with my money!! Stay away from this meat market!

Great prices, fresh meat, unfortunately customer service is 50/50. The only issue, there is one employee (looks the youngest) who chooses which customer to help. He will stand there, look the other way or start giggling with other staff purposely. I've seen this guy do this 3x, once with me and 2 other customers. Distasteful and needs to be addressed.

On the afternoon of Wednesday February 3rd around 3:30 pm, I went to purchase some meat products from the local meat market. I have been to this meat market many times in the past and have never had a poor experience. However, today will be the reason why I never return.

When I asked the service representative to provide me 3 pounds of quality short ribs, I was told that I could not select the quality cuts that I wanted. I was told that I could only select pieces that were further from me in the display. These cuts were closer to the employees, smaller in size and older in color. In the past, I have always been able to choose the cuts of meat that I wanted and the cuts that I wanted today were towards the front of the display, closer to me, larger in size and fresher in color. When I explained to the gentleman that I had been able to choose my preferred cuts of meat in the past, he only explained that I could no longer do this but failed to elaborate as to why, even though all of the meat products sold are at a fixed price. My assumption as to why I could not choose the quality I wanted, is because they were attempting to sell their old meat cuts first.

I should be able to choose the quality cuts of meat that I wanted, as I have been able to do so in the past. Whether I purchased the pieces from the front or back of the display should be my choice because again all the meat is sold at a fixed rate. Therefore, regardless of where I choose the meat from, this establishment would still have been compensated equally. The crux of my complaint is that as a paying customer, it should be my choice as to the quality of meat I choose to purchase, not the quality of meat they deem to serve me. My selection choice should not be limited since I am paying for the quality requested.

I went to G&G for some FLANK STEAK on August 26th, 2023 THEY CHARGED ME $34.00 for a 2 pound piece of flank steak! ITS LABOR DAY AND IM AT A BBQ, talking about steaks that they took off the grill just now, my ol man told me “Those guys at G&G Meat Market ripped you off, $34 for 2 lbs piece of flank steak!!!! I WILL BE COMING BACK TO G&G on the 5th!!! Would have went today BUT YOUR CLOSED!

This butcher shop has fresh meat & great service. I have not had an issue with any of the gentlemen behind the counter; been going so long, they're like family. They practice clean service with my order as well (changing their gloves). I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for well priced specialty cuts as well. They will work with you on pricing (personal or business purchases), just give them your list.

The meats are great. However, I cannot speak well about the service displayed.
Lately, there's a hint of arrogance and fooling around among co-workers.
Too much sarcasm while displaying their "customer service".
Customers should be able to select there choice of meat selection, without any restriction.
I've been a customer to this butcher shop since 2001 and I'm sorry to say, not once did I feel uncomfortable, until now.

Today 1St Time Going to Buy my meat here . I prefer Butcher Meat Markets . I don’t Like buying meat in Supermarkets. Growing up we only ordered meat Markets . Unfortunately none of them Exist Anymore . But Hoping All good meat in this Store . Very Particular when comes meat / Fish!!

G & G Italian Meat Market is the best meat market on Staten Island. They always have fresh meat and good service. The workers in there. Are always friendly and go out their way. To make sure you're treated in a friendly manner. Even when it's crowded. You don't have to wait long to get waited on. After going to this meat market a year ago. I've never went to any other meat market.
