Such a convenience to have this store within the mall especially the location is just perfect. To add on that the store is open all year round. The prices of the products compared to the prices within the mall is slightly cheaper. It was convenient for me after the aquarium to purchase drinks rather than the other stores because I was able to save. Everything was well organized in there.

My wife and I love Hmart, have been shopping at the K-town and Paramus locations for years. We decided to try the American Dream location as we just discovered it, but found it to be a huge letdown:

- 3 packages of noodles we picked up had fungus inside which thankfully the cashiers pointed out to us

- 2 packages of mushrooms were bad which we only discovered once we got back home

- 2 wrapped tomatoes that were also bad when we got home

- 1 bag of Lychee with fungus on it

- There was no one to bag groceries and the cashiers reluctantly and barely helped, mostly just standing there, and only began to help us bag when I asked for help, which they could see we needed as we had a full basket of food and a very active toddler. The cashier checking out my 80 year old mother also didn't help until I saw what was happening and had to jump in and help her with the heavy items

- No shopping carts here, just large plastic pull-along baskets

This would probably be a convenient location if you already happen to be in the mall and only need a few things, but otherwise I would definitely skip this place

Great selection of fruits and veggies, at decent prices too! Will probably make this my go to spot for both moving forward.

Wish their Korean beauty section was a bit bigger.

Lots of interesting snacks from Korea and Japan. You can also find some western foods and drinks here and there too.

The checkout section is super crammed and the aisle is so small, they may want to rethink that part of the store.

Went during opening weekend, so it was extremely crowded, even at night. We will have to see how crowds continue throughout the week.

Discovering H Mart at the American Dream Mall was exciting, but I found its product range more limited than my local H Mart, not quite meeting my needs. Opting to explore other stores in the American Dream Mall, where there's a plethora of things to do.

I’m glad to see some Japanese stuff and thinly slice meat? I didn’t see japanese Mayo but haven’t looked thoroughly.

More reason to come back to American dream.

Reasonable price and lots of selections.
I found our Feb chips so very happy.
Hope to see PIZZA POTATO Chips from Japan also please!

If you're hungry while shopping, go here if you want to eat a Korean lunch box.
And I recommend lobster rolls.
The price is good and there is a lot of lobster in it.
You can have a good time shopping.

Yup, it's a H-Mart in a mall

If you don't know what H-Mart is, it is basically a Korean supermarket that also has a food court (coming soon) and a small home goods section. Definitely a great stop for Asian snacks and fruity soju ?

Spend over $30 and you get free parking but you have to leave in the next 30 mins, so make this your last stop if you plan to get some groceries after shopping.

However, if you only need groceries and want to experience H-Mart, I reccomend you go to the one in Ridgefield which is about 20 minutes away from American Dream. It is WAY bigger with way more stuff overall and has free parking. In addition, the check-out lanes are much bigger as the American Dream H-Mart was very cramped for space overall.

I was disappointed by the limited selection. They had a lot of snacks, not a lot of produce or specialized ingredients which is usually what I go to HMart for. The sushi selection was also mediocre with everything looking like it had been sitting out for a few days. Additionally, parking is $5. Likely will not be returning- we will try 99 Ranch or Mitsuwa instead.
