Great drinks, snacks, and atmosphere.

I came in on a Saturday evening with no reservation. Alone, I chose the bar.

The oysters were fresh and clean. Tinned mussels and its well paired accompanied sides provided a great snack.

I tried two cocktails - which I totally forget their names were beautifully presented. They make many spirits in house. I thought that was cool.

The vibe would be great for a date night.

Love the ambiance up here, feels like such a cozy and private nook tucked away from the typical Trillium festivities downstairs. Highly recommend you check this space out at least once if you’re at the brewery at Fort Point! Cocktails are very fun, though I was biased towards the Wild Sinister Kid wild ale from Trillium’s typical menu. For lighter fare, the deviled eggs were my favorite, and the latkes aren’t half bad either 🙂

New listening lounge from Trillium in Seaport.

Hidden away on the second floor of the Trillium building, Headroom Hi-Fi offers a unique space that's a world apart from the bustling brewery downstairs. The vibe isn’t quite the speakeasy some people describe—it’s more of a laid-back lounge, perfectly suited for its purpose as a listening lounge. Instead of typical ceiling speakers, the music flowed from a Hi-Fi system at the center, surrounded by colorful shelves filled with LPs. During our Friday evening visit, the DJ wasn’t a big name, so the place was completely empty—we had the entire space to ourselves while the first floor and rooftop were buzzing.

We kicked off our evening with the Deviled Eggs and Scallop Crudo. The deviled eggs, crowned with crispy chicken cracklings and a dusting of charred onion ashes, delivered a devilishly good umami punch and a satisfying crunch. On the flip side, the Scallop Crudo was a bit underwhelming. The delicate flavor of the scallop was lost in the heat of Fresno and Serrano peppers and the robust citrus and salt seasoning.

From the larger plates, our favorites were the Burattini and the Chicken Rillette. The Burattini, served in the form of a mini tart, was incredibly fresh, and I especially loved the cold, tangy punch from the Cherry Tomato Escabeche. The Rillettes got a subtle, fragrant upgrade with dill and lettuce drizzled with olive oil, and pairing it with toasted bread, pepper relish, and pickled vegetables was extremely satisfying. The Lamb and Pork Belly were solid, but nothing in particular stood out.

The cocktail selection here offered something different from the house cocktails downstairs, and my favorite was the Legend Has It. As advertised, it was silky smooth, with a sweetness that lingered pleasantly at the finish.

Overall, a great concept. Listening lounges have been trending since last year, and vibe-wise, this spot definitely holds its own compared to others I’ve visited. However, the contrast with the bars on the other floors might make people hesitant to wander in on a whim. That said, the drinks and food at Trillium are already top-notch among local breweries, and Headroom Lounge takes it up a notch. Highly recommend giving them a try.

A cool speakeasy/cocktail bar on 2nd floor of Trillium. We were trying to find the door and finally realized that it’s inside Trillium. Just ask the host on the 1st floor when you walked into Trillium.

Great deco and vibe to have a DJ playing old records. Food and cocktails were great too! The only complaint I had was the table was too small for us to have cocktails and food. They should just seat customers in the bigger tables for those who are having dinners. It’s not that relaxing when the food came fast, and we had to finish our existing plates as there aren’t any room for more big plates to the cocktail table. It’s just their first month, and hoping they work out all the logistics for services. We will definitely be back.

Surprising. I’m a little jaded by the Boston cocktail scene and vinyl bars have been popping up. The atmosphere, drinks, food and dj felt intentional and thoughtful. Not sure who made the drink and food menus but everything I tried was exceptional. The gougeres, chicken rillette and pork belly were finger licking good. The cocktails were innovative in a world where craft cocktails are the norm. The bar staff were knowledgeable and friendly. It’s on the second floor of Trillium. Overall I want to come back and try the rest of the menu!

Definitely seems like a neat place on the surface, but we had several complaints. Overall it was not great— I wouldn’t go back.

The salad (main dish) was just romaine lettuce (extremely tiny dish) and didn’t come with the ingredients it said it would on the menu (little gem lettuce).

They don’t have any brand-name spirits (liquor), and the “vodka martini with a twist” we ordered was very warm and tasted like death, resulting in a massive headache the next day.

The other cocktails were all less than half-full in their glasses. For $16, each cocktail was like a teaspoon that could be consumed in one gulp.

The lighting is very odd. It’s like dark (black walls, no ambient lights), but then intermittent spotlights (tiny harsh recessed lights) attacked us, basically investigation-style.

It did not have a lounge feel at all because we were forced into assigned tables— originally we (4 people) were in a awful booth, and then we were at a 6-top low table flooded with people around us, more typical of a ski lodge cafeteria (several longs tables bunched up). It’d be better with high-top 4-person tables with occasional high chairs.

The music vibe was great, and I liked the DJ and decor.

Great vibes place, unique atmosphere and business model with the listening experience. Has a speak easy vibe as well which contributes to the overall experience. Tucked away in a loud brewery it is quite a juxtaposition to surroundings, which I particularly enjoyed about this place. Drinks were well made and staff were very warm and friendly.
