Good facility and you can even borrow demo rackets to try out.
The incredibly frustrating part is their reservation system - both online or via phone. Several times we have been told they were fully booked for certain times but saw majority of the courts absolutely empty for those slots. At times we paid full price for 1.5hrs but only got a reservation for 1hr. Again multiple courts were completely empty for that 0.5hrs before us including the ones we booked.

Disheartening Experience at High Point: A Tale of Misjudgment and Unjust Treatment

My recent visit to the pickleball facility was marred by an unfortunate and deeply troubling incident, leaving me no choice but to share my disappointing experience. This review aims to shed light on the facility's apparent racist behavior and their inconsistent enforcement of rules, which ultimately tarnished what should have been a fun and enjoyable evening.

Upon arriving at the facility with my friends, we were excited to play some pickleball and relish the camaraderie. However, the atmosphere quickly turned sour when we received a phone call the next morning, chastising us for allegedly creating a "party-like atmosphere" and having more than four people per court. The fact that we were singled out for this treatment, solely because we were all of Asian descent, is deeply distressing and disheartening.

The incident escalated when we attempted to discuss the matter with the employee who made the call. It was evident that they assumed we were all together simply because of our shared ethnicity. This blatant stereotyping is wholly unacceptable and has no place in any establishment, especially one meant to promote sportsmanship and inclusivity. Additionally, their claim that the benches provided are not for sitting further highlights their arbitrary enforcement of rules and lack of basic hospitality.

Adding insult to injury, we later discovered that their employee was misinformed about the court occupancy rules. The supervisor, when approached about this matter, confirmed that we were allowed to have up to six players per court, contradicting the employee's earlier statement. This inconsistency raises questions about the facility's competence in training its staff and leaves one wondering if there are other unfair practices they employ against their patrons.

Regrettably, this was not the first incident of unwarranted accusations and mistreatment we experienced at the pickleball facility. In the past, we had been unjustly accused of not paying despite following all payment procedures diligently. This ongoing pattern of discrimination and harassment has effectively driven us away from the facility multiple times.

I implore the management of High Point to take immediate and serious action against racial discrimination within their establishment. It is crucial that they educate their staff about diversity, inclusivity, and cultural sensitivity to ensure such incidents never happen again. Furthermore, a thorough review and overhaul of their customer service and rule enforcement policies are urgently needed to prevent future mistreatment of patrons.

In conclusion, my experience at the facility was one filled with dismay and disillusionment. The racist behavior we encountered, combined with their inconsistent rules and harassment, has left a lasting negative impression. I hope that my review serves as a wake-up call for the facility to address these issues promptly and create a genuinely welcoming and fair environment for all players.

As a group of 4, we had a great experience reserving one of their pickleball courts.

We called the day before to reserve at midday for two different 90min sessions. When we got there, the place was basically all ours with the exception of a couple other players.

During the week, it starts to get busier as 5pm rolls around, i would recommend calling further out in advance.

The staff was laid back, courteous and let us play through. We accidentally ran late by 30mins, and as they weren’t too busy. No one came out to stop us or interfere.

The facilities are very clean and newly renovated. There’s some shopping to be done as well as snacks and beverages, plenty of good places to watch from a vantage point as well.

Plenty of parking all around the courts.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent experience I had at your facility while playing pickleball today.

Firstly, upon arriving and paying for my entry, I encountered a remarkably unfriendly attitude from the front desk staff. Their lack of courtesy and professionalism was quite disheartening. I believe that a friendly and welcoming atmosphere is essential for any recreational facility, and this initial encounter left a lot to be desired.

Furthermore, during my time playing, I needed to use the restroom located within your facility. To my surprise, the front desk staff continued to exhibit a dismissive and unfriendly demeanor, even giving me hostile glances as I went about this basic necessity. This behavior was both uncalled for and uncomfortable.

As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, and I believe that my experience today fell far short of these expectations. I hope you understand that a welcoming and friendly environment is crucial for customer satisfaction and retention.

I kindly request that you address these issues with your front desk staff and take measures to ensure that all patrons are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve. I believe that with improved customer service, your facility can create a more positive and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my feedback, and I hope to see positive changes in the future.

A good place to play if you can manage to get a reservation. You would think they are selling concert tickets for how difficult it is to get a court. Their system is in need of an overhaul.

Love the tennis facility! The staff is always pleasant and the courts are always in good shape. i consistently play here on weekends. However, there are some changes that could take place for better reservation efficiencies.

If weekend reservations only begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, you know there will be an increase in the telephone calls, receiving a recording that says the call can't be connected and to try again is an annoyance. This issue could be mitigated through online booking or adding more lines/staff for Friday morning. If you leave a message, you won't get a court reservation because I don't think they are checked.

Second, if there are USTA tournaments, this should be noted somewhere, or on the phone recording well ahead of time. I was there a week ago and had no idea. I set my reminder to call Friday at 9:00 a.m. just to call 6 times (see prior paragraph), just to be told there is a USTA tournament and first available court it 6:00 p.m.

This is still a 5 star facility due to courts, kind staff, and quality of the club house, but the lack of convenience in reservations and USTA tournament notifications (compared to other facilities) drops the review by one star. There is a great and diverse crowd that is there every weekend playing!

If you would like to be harassed and discriminated against, this is the place for you! We have been coming to High Point for over a year now and every single time we go we have to mentally and emotionally prepare to get harassed before, during, and even after our court reservation by one particular employee by the name of Debbie. I'm not really sure why she continuously gives us a hard time. We always pay, we never make or leave a mess, we follow the rules, and we book in advance.

Whenever we invite people that have never been to high point, we make sure to tell them "Check in at the lobby and ask for a receipt." We do this because we have been harassed on many occasions for "not paying." When we all show proof of payment, she apologizes but does it again the next time we come. I've asked her to please check her records before coming outside, interrupting our game, and accusing us of stealing. She said it was because different employees have different ways of keeping track of who has paid. I'm not sure that is a customer problem, at this point it sounds like there needs to be a team meeting to get everyone in sync. We are tired of being harassed when they have NEVER found any one of us guilty of not paying.

She has told me before, "this is not a glamorous job." If you find your job to be frustrating, taking it out on customers is not the solution. If there happens to be another group of people of Asian descent, she automatically groups us with them and tells us to tell them to pay and pass the word along. Our group is friendly so we will wave and say hi to people that are near us but we don't know every asian group present.

The staff are also unclear on the rules as a whole - we have gotten so many differing rules from different staff members. We finally spoke to Kevin and he informed us that there CAN be more than 4 paying people per reservation, BUT not more than 4 on the court at a time. That is perfectly fine as we will use the bleachers if people are resting to switch in and out... but the problem is in the same day, another staff member told us there can NEVER be more than 4 people per reservation, whether on court or not. If your staff are not informed and up to date on the rules, how can you expect the customers to know the rules?

Oh also, there is a bench between courts 8 and 9. Apparently we can NOT sit on the bench under ANY circumstance. It was made clear to me that "THE BENCH IS NOT MEANT FOR SITTING." I'm not sure why there is a bench if people cannot sit on it. Maybe they should remove the bench or put a sign that says to NOT SIT ON THE BENCH.

Also, getting a court reservation is really luck of the draw. You can call at 12:00 pm two days in advance and they will tell you there are no courts. Your friend standing next to you will call at 12:01 PM, right after you hang up, and they will be able to book a court. I'm not sure what the confusion is, but this has happened about 50% of the time we try to reserve.

It looks like there are so many reviews, past and present, that complain about the mistreatment that are met with replies of contacting management to help fix this but clearly this has not been fixed, ever.

High Point has nice courts but here are some tips as a customer if you will be going to High Point:
1. Ask for a receipt and save it
2. Don't sit on the bench, duh
3. Mentally prepare for dirty looks, scolding while checking in, and Debbie to come outside to count on her fingers how many people are outside
4. They may call you the day after to say there were complaints about your reservation from the night before but they never bothered to address you while you were there in person
