Customer service, for the most part, is top notch. Most of the employees have been super friendly. My only issue is there seems to be A LOT of expired food on the shelves. I have unknowingly bought numerous things that were expired. Yes, I try to remember to check dates, but sometimes you're just in a hurry and forget.

I’ve been coming to this specific Publix for the past couple of years. This cashier is on the older side and caucasian.Like every cashier and customer I greeted Yvette but she ignored it. Kept avoiding eye contact and did not say a word to us the entire time. I told her I got cases of water but she continued to ignore me. Then she did not say what the total was and watched my husband and I bag our own items. It seems like she is only Racist towards people of color. Once I proceeded to bag my own items a Caucasian person was next and she changed her attitude and decided to have a full blown conversation. Not sure how the managers handle this type of situation with their employees but in another workplace this would not be tolerated.

If I wanted to not get all of the 5 items on my list I would have went to Walmart! Why are we paying almost double the price if we can't even keep the shelves stocked?

And then when the girl asked if I found everything okay and I said no she just looked at me in silence.

This store definitely lives up to the great Publix reputation for being one of the best grocery store chains. They also support local school fundraisers! Very community oriented.

This Publix is smaller than most but still has everything you need. They also offer a nice wine selection, (see photo). The deli and Sub section is well staffed and there isn't a long wait like some of their fellow Publix store's.

I shop here weekly for the last 3yrs and i always buy scratch off lotto cards. Ive been asked for ID rightfully so by Yvette every time. But this time she was very nasty to me so I proceeded to the machine and she shut the machine off on me so I couldn’t purchase tickets. She has the worst attitude to ppl and seems like it’s only toward Hispanic and other races that aren’t Caucasian as I viewed from her on a number of occasions. I spoke with manager and Yvette stated she never seen me before which was a lie so I went out got my ID and when I came back she walked away from the counter so she didn’t have to serve me. Not a place for her to work in customer service.

This is closest to my house. Mile away. Like all Publix except no self-check out which is why I gave it 4 stars. The 2 men that work at the seafood area are the most helpful & personable employees. One man's name is Paul I am usually there when they've put away the seafood for the night so the other man was ready to leave so I didn't see his name but he stayed and asked if he could help me. He went in the back and got what I normally buy there. They are both knowledgeable & always pleasant & take their time even though they're at the end of their shifts. They don't make me feel rushed and i feel bad for getting there late sometimes. The way employees treat me make all the difference in an ubiquitous chain. I would go there if it were further away b/c of the service those 2 men provide. I wish all of the employees were like them but only once did I feel that I was a nuisance b/c sometimes there are a lot of BOGOS and sales and the total bill is high, so I want to check if I received all of the discounts I was entitled to. Food is very expensive these days and I check my sales slips b/c sometimes the sales aren't what I thought they were & I have to put things back. It was annoying but $187 is a lot of money and some items actually weren't on sale or BOGOS for reasons I couldn't know until I paid. BOGOS are so important for items I don'tusually get unless they're BOGOS.

Publix at East Port Plaza is a great grocery store in downtown PSL. They have a bakery complemented by a large ice cream selection, deli, wine selection, and souvenir boutique. Clean, stocked to the brim, and serene. Still one of the best grocery store chains in Florida.
